In the early 1980s, Barbara A. Bowden was a young woman eager to begin her law education in Western Washington. Even back then, tuition costs were quite lofty, and they’ve unfortunately only increased. With an amazing support system around her Barbara was able to graduate from the University of Puget Sound Law School in 1985 and begin contributing to our great community in a professional setting.
Today, Barbara wants to pass on the help she received back then. She is fortunate now to have a solid team of Washington educated lawyers and paralegals. The law firm wants to share their passion with local students and help foster a love of the law and learning in a younger generation.
The Law Offices of Barbara A. Bowden is offering a $1,000 scholarship to one student interested in the legal field or a related field, such as government, politics, finance, or criminal justice. The annual scholarship is open to any student who has attended or is currently attending high school in the Tacoma, Washington area. The student must be pursuing higher education at an accredited two-year or four-year university.
“My team and I believe that education is truly where life’s journey begins. We are so fortunate to have attended great schools in the state of Washington, and we want to offer the same opportunity to a local student shares our passions about the law or a similar field,” said Barbara A. Bowden.
