Join Our Team
We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced criminal defense attorney to join our well-established team. We handle primarily non-felony criminal cases and traffic infractions in and around Pierce County, and we are continuing to grow by adding the right people.
Our practice focuses on defending civil traffic tickets and driving-related misdemeanors, mainly DUIs. Our traffic ticket defense covers Western Washington, while most of our misdemeanor defense work is in the greater Puget Sound area: Pierce, King and Thurston counties.
This is the right opportunity for someone who wants to be a top-performing criminal defense attorney without worrying about the business side of practicing law. You will not need to make the sale. We want someone who thrives on making clients feel confident in their decision to hire our firm, and who works passionately to give those clients the best representation to resolve their cases.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients across our criminal defense practice, including misdemeanor criminal defense cases, contested hearings for traffic tickets, and Department of Licensing (DOL) hearings on license suspensions
- Perform legal research and prepare memos, motions, pleadings and other filings
Qualifications
- Former and current prosecutors and public defenders are strongly encouraged to apply. Strict confidentiality will be maintained.
- Familiarity with criminal court procedures and rules of evidence
Education and Licensing
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Washington State
- In good standing with the Washington State Bar Association
